I would like to find some new prog bands with a very Dark atmospherical feel to their music. Something Similar to maybe early King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator, or Comus, but it can be completely different. Just something with a dark evil feel, that can give somebody the creeps. I saw a post similar to this on another website, but it was no help. Please nothing like Tubular Bells, although I love Mike Oldfield.

Alright, then what about Tool? 10,000 days Wings for Marie pt. 2) always gives me chills. Pretty much everything from the album Aenema and up has a very dark atmosphere to it.
DT's ITPoE pt. 2 is just... eerie. |

Try Godspeed You! Black Emperor. They have a really depressing, dark atmosphere.

Check out Dr. Z's sole album, Three Parts to My Soul. Mad b-movie inspired Satan rock with plenty of harpsichord accompaniment.
Also, on a slightly more metal-ish side, I'd recommend Lake of Tears. Just barely progressive, but definitely dark. Check out Blackbrickroad or Headstones particularly. |

Kayo Dot is pretty dark and pretty avant.
Try Dowsing Anemone in Copper Tongue. Also, if you're not familiar with Porcupine Tree, I'd say their album In Absentia is pretty dark and creepy.
