I like the ones in Firth Of Fifth and in Fly on a windshield equally, but I'll vote for Fly on a windshield cause Iknow everyone's gonna vote for Firth of fifth and nobody for Fly on a windshieldTongue (or almost nobody). Dancing with the Moonlit knight, Supper's ready, Musical Box, Horizons and Anyway are also terrific)

A very hard choice indeed. I don't consider "Horizons" a solo, it's actually an acoustic guitar song. "Cinema Show" doesn't have a solo by Hackett, and I think  the solo at the end of "The Musical Box" is my favorite one, but not by much, since I'm a big fan of Steve.

I don't care, I voted for that one. LOL  None of the other ones are solos because the band is playing with him. Tongue

difficult--but I voted for Lamia because no one else did and it is a great prog song and steve's solo is moving and it deserves a vote.

Horizons is solo guitar rather than guitar solo, which some of the others are. Vote for what you want though.Tongue

I'm not interested in Hackett's work with Genesis nearly as much as what he's accomplished on his own.

That said, my hands-down favorite solo is on "Every Day". Nothing he did with Gensis even comes close.
