Both options are interesting and add up to a great listening experience, but my vote will go for Camel.

While I agree that all are excellent, ELP is the preferred for me. I like the serrated edge vs the smooth edge approach. I see Camel as a symphonic rock band while ELP are a heavy progressive rock band. And I's love the heavy progressive stuff.

Not easy for me. Though I go back a bit further with ELP, it is waaaay too close to just blithely pick and be done. After careful consideration, I chose Camel, mostly because I can more readily listen to them (be in the mood, I mean) most any time. Sometimes (if it's the wrong time) ELP can be a bit irritating if I'm bummed out or some other negative mood. Camel lifts me right up every time.

Both. Hard to choose either for me. I enjoy all those albums.

Definitely Camel. ELP were way too cocky and pretentious.
