Jónsi's main band, Sigur Rós, needs no introduction, as they are one of the biggest post-rock bands in the world.  Jónsi's solo career, however,  isn't archived on the site.

In 2010, Jónsi released his first solo album titled Go:

The album is faster and poppier than those of Sigur Rós, but it definitely has an element of post-rock.

The album is balanced between energetic, dream-like songs:

And equally dream-like post-rock ballads:

Along with the studio album, he released a live album, Go Live, and a dvd, Go Quiet.
Also, Jónsi has released an ambient album called Riceboy Sleeps as a collaboration called Jónsi and Alex, which could either be considered a solo album or a separate "band".

I would like Jónsi to be added as a post-rock artist, but if his solo work is deemed too poppy, than at least as prog-related.

Hmm, last time he was suggested I completely dismissed the idea, but looking at some additions for Crossover, maybe he could fit into that category. I'll have to relisten and rethink.

Yeah, I didn't think he would fit into post-rock.  It just seems like he should definitely be somewhere, even if it's just prog-related.

Yeah, not post-rock, maybe crossover and definitely prog-related.
