Oh. I foresee a run on "meme theater" covers. I can't photo shop from my phone.

yea that is not the album cover. Can an admin edit or delete the album altogether??

***EDIT*** the continuum has been credited to Rudess separately from 'keyboards', 'piano', etc.. since Octavarium. It DOES have its own sound, and one should be able to notice it on their last 3 albums. It is very prominent in Octavarium, Sacraficed Sons, Constant Motion, A Nightmare to Remember, and more.

Here's my pre-review:

Dream Theater is back with a vengeance. Literally. Despite losing drummer Mike Portnoy, the band has hardly missed a step.  Their unique blend of metal, hard rock and classic prog sensibilities remain intact, although the lyrics have become almost incomprehensible.

James LaBrie is in good voice as he chants this mysterious mantra throughout the album:
"Skcus yontrop!
Skcus yontrop!
Skcus yontrop!
Skcus yontrop!

Alternated with:
"Uoy deen t'nod ew!
Uoy deen t'nod ew!
Uoy deen t'nod ew!
Uoy deen t'nod ew!"

I'm sure it must mean something.

The rest of the band plays well, although bassist John Myung can be heard weeping in the background of the quiet passages.

The album cover sports this note from the band "Dream Theater is pleased to announce that from now on, all of the band can mug for the camera on the big screen on stage with us.  Thanks fans."  I can't wait.

Eleventy!!!!1!!!111!!!!1!!!! stars.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.

The Continuum is a controller. No need to differentiate.

That's what it says on BCSL.

Mmmmmm...well as far as I know when Rudess recorded with the Continuum in the past it could not generate audio, and even now I doubt he uses it's own sounds. I suppose they consider its sound unique enough to list it as an instrument when it's really used as a controller.

I have terribly low hopes. I started hating them ever since Train of Thought, and it got progressively worse with each subsequent record, culminating in me nearly condemning Black Clouds as a poisonous abomination. I got very low hopes.
