Sioum is a three piece instrumental band from Illinois, USA. To quote R&R World, "The trio often draws inspiration from dreams, movies, video games, and most frequently, emotion itself. Post-metal/rock, as well as progressive influence are often noted, although occasionally, many broad (and unusual) influences, such as classical and chiptune, can be heard."
Sioum's first album, I Am Mortal, But Was Fiend, is available for free / name your price download off the bandcamp website (link below) and is a really good prog post rock/metal album. If you decide to pay, $5 will get you a different mix of tracks 1-5 of the album (link sent to your e-mail address), called Accession Soundscape, which is worth having.

Hope some of you download the free album and have a listen to the album. This is a band that would fit nicely on these pages.

They couldn't have come up with a more generic Post Rock album title? LOL
Cool stuff though, I hear those numerous influences talked about. Honestly I'm not quite sure where to put this genre-wise, because it is such an eclectic blend of post-rock.
But, I guess I'll alert the post rock team for evaluation

Sorry to bump. Any news on this? Still only one vote on Progfreak after 3.5 months. I thought this would be a fairly straightforward addition! ?

And yes I know you're all incredibly busy. I wouldn't want your review workloads so sorry to push!

Well over a year now and still only two votes cast (both positive)? It would be nice to give this band a bit of exposure!

The team is pretty dead now, they still need one more vote.

There you go. I will get around to adding the albums if you don't do it first.
