PA is a great site were i can find most of the things i love, read reviews about my favourite albums from poeples every where in the world i can talk, exchange ideas, discover......Well for sure i spend too much time on it, but as the records take too much space in the room all the magazines ( thousands) are in the attic, today i don't need to buy magazines anymore ( or just a few)

Lost most of my money.

But in a good way. Found many excellent bands/cds, met some cool people (most of whom seem to have left the site for one reason or another), and wasted many-a-hour. Probably the biggest benefit was winning that Zappa Plays Zappa review contest event thing.

Sexual favors are a give in as well.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me

Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

For me it was about discovering music, beginning to understand the development of the genre and learning to write reviews in English. I'm 22 years old and I don't have a lot of friends who appreciate the music like I do, so it's nice to have a place were my musical taste and behavior is commonly accepted.

For years, prog rock was my favorite style/genre of music, and then I drifted away from it for more jazz and classical and mainstream rock.  A buddy of mine and I connected over a shared appreciation of Yes, and he helped refan the flames of Prog.  This site has definitely fanned them some more.
I come here to both impart and information and knowledge, and have learned about a number of new artists (at least new to me), some of which have become regulars and favorites.  Without this site, I would not have come across them.  It has COMPLICATED my life in many ways, but as with my marriage, I would not have it any other way.  So, this site is definitely worth my while.

And what is with all these freebies and sexual favors?  Am I missing out on something?  Should I start coming to this site when the missus isn't looking?  Should I send out my stats?  Wink

Progarchives is pretty cool. If I hadn't found it, all this time I've spent finding new music would have otherwise been wasted looking at stupid youtube videos or jerking off. Not that I don't still find time for those things
I'm so mad that you enjoy a certain combination of noises that I don't

Since joining PA I've become twice as intelligent, three times as handsome, my hair smells terrific and I'm no longer tiny!

But seriously, I've learned about quite a lot of fine and interesting music.

The opportunity to annoy and irritate hundreds of people from all over the world is just one of the little perks.

As MWH said, I've lost a lot of money, but gained a lot of friends and good music.  Fair trade.

It has to be the prog then. It can make anyone seem attractive.
