I don't understand this thread. No matter how much I may or may not like a song, I'm thoroughly embarrassed to be lumped with the bunch of sad-sacks we know as "proggies."

I second this. Plus, Boris, nothing more to add.

Your hair looks pretty much the same as mine. Difference is I go outside.

Hahaha I've never thought of the term "Proggie" until now.
I am proud to be a proggie. :P
Songs that make me proud?
Here is your answer:
Lady Fantasy- Camel
Memory Lain, Hugh / Headloss - Caravan
Tarkus - ELP
Dancing With The Moonlit Knight - Genesis
Thick As A Brick - Jethro Tull
The Court Of The Crimson King - King Crimson

BTW, I don't play my music to my friends. I tried it, they run away... I only play my music at places where the listeners actually expect to hear prog rock. @kingcrimsonfan: yes, Shadow Song is on the Supertramp debut (if it was not answered, yet). And it is worth listening especially for a king_crimson_fan! @topographicbroadways: thanks for your good answers!

Why should I be proud of what kind of music I like to listen to? There's an implication that liking prog would be in some way more difficult than other genres - and we proggies are thus an elite. However, I find light pop, rap, hiphop, hard metal and most contemporary dance music far more challenging. I'd be proud of myself if I could stand those genres, but no, I won't.

I always feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when I finish a Kayo Dot song in one sitting.
