Todgelichter is an experimental blackened post-metal band, or a post-black metal band, or something else. I'm not well versed in the post-whatevers. I've read on some sites that they are avant-garde, but I can't hear it. Anyway, they're actually pretty good and it sometimes sounds like a slightly heavier take on the shoegaze black metal that everyone seems to like so much. This paragraph is not convincing.

Doomy, atmospheric, adventurous. First impression sounds like a good fit for post-metal. I don't hear anything 'avant' about it neither, but well, for metal artists that tag almost comes for free these days if you're a bit unusual. We will evaluate! http://progfreak.com/Todtgelichter-150446.html?path=pa/recent |
