PROGARCHIVES.COM HOSTING EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE OF MYRATH VIDEO

"TALES OF THE SANDS" IN STORES TODAY ON NIGHTMARE RECORDS

To celebrate the release of their new album "Tales of the Sands", MYRATH recently shot a video for the song "Merciless Times".  Progressive Rock Music Hub ProgArchives, is currently hosting an exclusive premiere of the video at http://www.progarchives.com/video.asp?id=3965

MYRATH's distinctive metal style is blended with oriental rhythms, scales and harmonies, theiroverflow of innovation and feeling. They create songs so touching; they take the fan to an imaginary universe of light where the sun of the east literally bursts in to their ears creating a visual, sonic display.  Add to this the powerful, splendid vocals of Zaher Zorgatti irradiating the entire album with his huge presence and "Tales of the Sands" is much more than an average metal release. Never before has such a singer integrated so brilliantly and elegantly quarter step vocal lines and the bands absolutely unique sound bursting with oriental / middle eastern energy that is their special sound.

With the release of their previous album "Desert Call" in January 2010, MYRATH redefined the rules of a style still unknown to many... "ORIENTAL METAL". Taking one element of what Zepplin did for rock in the 70's to an entirely fresh dimension.  The fans passion for this new sonic landscape, contributed to the rapid and undeniable notoriety of the band worldwide.  Thanks to memorable live performances in several highly rated festivals, MYRATH music attracted producers from other industries, thus the track "Madness" was featured on the famous video game "Rock Band''. Whether you listen to their albums or you see them live, MYRATH will always engross your senses, with head banging and wreckless body movements as their music fills your heart and soul with exotic emotions.

"Tales of the Sands" was Produced by Kevin Codfert and mixed by Frederik Nordstom (DimmuBorgir, In Flames), and mastered by Jens Bogren (Symphony X)

Not to rain on the parade, but an unlisted Youtube video doesn't meet my definition of "exclusive"...Here is it embedded so you all don't have to click the link.

There's a complete failure of humour in plain view right there.

Maybe not the most impressive video/song I saw, but it's groovy and catchy. It made me curious to check them out.

what I'd like to see is PA hosting a real event, like an album signing or concert or something that people could actually attend (though I know nobody actually goes anywhere anymore, but it's a thought)

Sure is a decent thought.....with a real prog archives radio station....with Real Prog archives collabs having their 5 hour spin slots...playing prog, promoting the bands, events, even PR work, Torodd interviews etc etc..... Have suggested it trust me. Just keep suggesting, we never knowWink

For someone who heartily loathes most metal, I really enjoyed this, exclusive or otherwise. (It's probably the North African/Middle Eastern flavour to the melodies that accounts for this)

BTW is it just me of does the singer resemble 'Prince with the fuller figure?'

I must be getting old and deaf but do the lyrics include the refrain 'Yippy Aye Ay?Confused

^LOL
Prince in the fuller figure...

I´m not so much into metal these days(which is weird seeing as I spent a lot of my youth listening to Napalm Death and Cannibal Corpse), - but the middle eastern vibe certainly interests me as well
