I'm gonna have to wait this one out. It's gonna be between The Decemberists, Mastodon, Isis, Phideaux, Volta, or Maudlin of course. There's too many!!

Damn good year, but Part the Second tops it.
I'm surprised to see only 1 vote for E-Re, as it beat PtS for collab album of the year.

2009 was a good year! Voted Underfall Yard, but The Incident, Frequency, and Crack the Sky are also excellent.

Part the Second, the greatest post-70's masterpiece.
Other good ones here: Ëmëhntëhtt-Ré and The Hazards of Love.
An outsider worth a honorable mention: Freak - Alejandro Matos

The Underfall Yard me but a very tough year. I could easily have went for The Tangent, IQ, Beardfish, Transatlantic, Phideaux or Gazpacho. To me the Big Big Train album is brilliant!! I left off Porcupine Tree(one of my faves) as I was one of the few that didn't like The Incident

My favorite Beardfish album finally. LOVE Destined Solitaire, so it will get my vote.
Maudlin of the Well, Riverside and The Decemberists are behind them.

I'm not gonna vote on this one. It's a dead tie between Crack the Skye and Wavering Radiant. Other good albums are Octahedron, Anno Domini High Definition, Ki, The Incident and Blood.

Frequency gets my vote, but The Underfall Yard, The Whirlwind, The Incident and Number Seven are all damned good as well.
