I am new to this forum, but a long time prog rock fan.

My new prog rock project, Telergy, has just released it's first album, The Exodus.

The goal of the band is to tell the stories behind significant historical events through powerful, epic, classically inspired prog rock.

Besides myself, playing a wide range of instruments, the album features some amazing players from all over the world. For more info check out the website.....

http://www.telergymusic.com

The site does have several sound clips. But the album must be heard in it's entirety to fully grasp the whole concept.

Anyone willing to review the album can contact me, and I will send a digital version.

Welcome to PA Robert. I'll notify the Prog Metal Team to evaluate your music for inclusion in the database.

Absolutely loved the samples on the website! This album will be very high on my CD shopping list for next month for sure (always prefer a physical CD to digital downloads wherever available). Can't see any problem in this being added to the prog metal database at all - great stuff!!

I'm afraid we ended on a tie here, feeling the music fits better under symphonic metal rather then prog metal.
We'll have another look soon but it looks very much like we will have to pass on Telergy.

Bummer. I was very hopeful.

But I sincerely thank you for listening and taking the time to consider it.

^ I do think that your music fits better under Symhonic Metal so I suggest we pass this to the team in MMA to evaluate

Just listened to this on Progstreaming. Great music. It may well make my buy list. Just one problem, the narration, to me is a major turnoff. Maybe in future, consider putting any narration on separate tracks, so it can be skipped if unwanted. OK, I could edit it out after conversion to MP3. Will take another listen soon.

I was reading the album reviews on an older version of Classic Rock Magazine and they had this album listed in their Prog Releases section, along with Big Big Train's latest.  Just gave it a listen on Spotify, and I guess that I am a little surprised that this one was rejected.  Reading the reasoning within the Prog Metal team thread left me with the same headshaking that I used to get when previously discussing the addition of Lana Lane. I still don't get the intricate difference between symphonic metal and prog metal.  The Crossover team eventually evaluated Lana Lane and she ended up being placed into Prog Related. I am just wondering if maybe this team might also want to evaluate this album.

This would get a 'yes' from me for sure in Crossover. Not the ideal place for it I know, but all too often these days Crossover is used as a last resort to get artists on to the site who are not accepted in the more obvious subs. It was three 'yes' votes against two 'no' in Prog Metal, and the 'no's were definite 'no's rather than 'move', so out on their butts they went, but it was a damn close run thing...& I personally believe the band belongs here. If given the all clear to do so by the powers that be, I'll have no hesitation whatsoever in adding Telergy to our chart. Thumbs Up

Added to Crossover's chart on progfreak by Olav: http://progfreak.com/Telergy-150892.html?path=pa/recent, and two 'yes' votes already. Smile One more and they're in! Thumbs Up

Dee Snider (Twisted Sister)
Ty Tabor (King's X)
Emmanuel De Saint Meen (Delusion Squared)
Nik Turner (Hawkwind)
Trent Gardner (Magellan)
Joe Cairney (Comedy of Errors)
Laura Sanscartier (Boston Symphony Orchestra, James Taylor)
Joel Hoekstra (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Night Ranger)
Valerie Vigoda (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Cindi Lauper)
Andy Reiner (Earth Stringband)
Rory Makem (Son of Irish folk legend Tommy Makem)
Mattan Klein (world renown jazz flutist)
Kristen Miller (award winning classical cellist)
Jaimee Jaroff (award winning Celtic harpist)
Myschyffe Managed (medieval madrigal choir)

And that's the short list!!!

The album is almost finished and I am very exited to share it with all of you soon Big smile
