^ Your opinion will be seen as the minority. Most people feel SC and BC&SL were weak DT albums, whereas ADTOE is seen as a return to form, and their next album will be just as highly anticipated.

I have a feeling the right branch semis will come down to Dream Theater and Opeth. DT better take the cake, with a much more impressive and extensive catalog and doing a lot more for prog than Opeth. While Opeth has roped in a lot of death metal and related genre fans, Dream Theater practically created the prog metal genre. Dream Theater's most recent album is pretty weak, but Opeth's legacy lies with Ghost Reveries which was 2005. I thought Systematic Chaos and BC&SL were great albums and ADTOE has been their only major road bump so far.

Also I can't believe that PoS got eliminated the first round. They should have been a contender.

^ I guess I'll start selling handicaps.

For instance, Anglagard's Hybris, which is almost impossible to find here would be worthy of a 10 vote handicap for your favorite artist Wink

Very little hope for Tool, though.

Do you accept bribes?

I'm just throwin' this out there, I totally accept bribes and will do so for the remainder of the tourney.  Best offer gets the vote.

Of course I do, but I have seen your post too late and now it would be too obvious.

Final Score: Dream Theater 53- Tool 39

I openly dislike Tool. I openly dislike Dream Theater. The only difference is that I used to openly like Dream Theater. There's my vote.

I like his solo stuff as well,he has some amazing guests helping out.

He does, I have both Inertia and Molecular Heinosity and am really becoming a fan.  Actually, Inertia was a steal.  I found it for a buck at a used CD store.  Can't go wrong there :)
