Another nice one:

David Icke's theory of evil lizard people/aliens secretly ruling the world:

Yeah, I love that one.  We need more Alex Jones fans on here for the lulz.

To be frank, I don't find Alex Jones half as annoying as most of the patronising, snooty teleprompter reading, BBC news crew.

There is too much homogenised, pasturised, sterilised news these days. I like to see someone ranting and being fiery and passionate about important issues, even if I don't always agree with them. Jones is quite a unique character, and despite there being times when I think he talks utter bollocks, I don't think he has an agenda to mislead and misinform. I believe that he believes in what he is talking about. He's not being handed a script by someone with ties to government or global banking, put it that way..
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Well some say that the BBC (well, the News part of it) are run by the government, Andy.  That'd explain a lot. Wink

Channel 4 is better but I always forget to put it on.

The Day Today was so on the mark with its portrayal of rolling news.

There was a Radio 4 series on a while ago of a similar nature as well.

Yeah wow, that really is saying something!

There are many about 9/11, depends which one you want to look at.
I do not believe it was an "inside job". That it was created and done by the US government, the controlled demolition, all of that jazz.

However, was there either knowledge of what would happen, or enough of an idea, and it was ignored?
I never thought so, (usually just assumed gross incompetence of the government) but while I'm not sold there are some intriguing points to think about.

This outline for US foreign policy was first written in 1992. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfowitz_Doctrine#Oil
That sounds very familiar... and the names: Wolfowitz, Libby as well as Cheney and Powell seem to ring a bellLOL

While it seemed surreal at the time, the idea of a plane being used as a missile is apparently not so crazy, with real life examples being foiled in 1995 and even more so in 1994.
In the months before hand there were numerous warnings from countries about some type of imminent and large attack, and that famous memo Bush and co. chose to ignore (OK more like co. im sure)

I know there were always threats, and it could still be negligence but it's a lot to brush aside and the swift actions the government took following the attack, including very quick talks of Iraq and Hussein that got pushed aside for a bit...it is intriguing for sure. Also makes for that scandalous, evil story we like so much.

That's not a conspiracy theory.. that's mass lunacy... Tongue

Sure - the conspiracy angle comes from the idea that most people are infected with evil thetans who somehow have their own agenda which was installed by Xenu forcing them to watch movies about Christianity and other religions ... Clown

^ And it's even tied to Progressive Rock - or at least to Avant-Garde, as in Frank Zappa's Joe's Garage, where he refers to the First Church of Appliantology and L. Ron Hoover. Pinch

I was channel surfing and John Lennon's Imagine was on.  I'm sure there was some conspiracy theory about him getting killed but I am fuzzy on the details.

Apparently he was killed by Trickie Nixon, Ronnie Ray-gun and... Stephen King. http://www.lennonmurdertruth.com/

^ surprising considering the resistance it seems to have in this thread, but evidence that it still is the most popular conspiracy of our time

I thought 9/11 would receive the most votes - 11 votes at present makes sense.

I looked up some of these other conspiracies. Fruit loops who believe we have reptilians among us are the most disturbing.

So you're saying that the gecko's living in the tree outside my apartment don't really exist?  Shocked

I voted for the JFK theory as that is probably one I'm most interested in and one which I think at least in part may have some (note the word some) validity.  I think there may have been more to that than has been revealed.

Why are "aliens and UFOs exist" put together?  I'm living in Texas.  I see aliens every day (and I'm not talking about the native Texans who may in fact be from another planet Wink).  Really, I think in this universe with trillions of planets, the odds of aliens actually existing are pretty high.  UFOs on the other hand.  As Don Henley put it "would they scream across the universe just to get McNuggets?"

What in hell are you talking about man??  UFOs are unidentified flying objects for crying out lout, of course there are objects that fly which cannot be identified.  I see illegal aliens around every day and treat them with the same respect I would anyone else.
