Their classic albums in the 70's.
Switched Faust tapes with Faust IV to make the poll more interesting. |

My favorite Faust album with a VERY solid Neu album.

Went with Faust/NEU '75.
Even if i like Faust IV more, the diffrence between NEU's debut and NEU75 is bigger!

I voted for the same, but it was not as close. These 2 albums are my faves from each artist, so it was an easy pick for me. I´m not that into the punkish tracks off Neu! 75 or maybe that´s a bit hard because I sort of like em´ individually, but they don´t work on that album - it´s like mixing chocolate with fish, and for my tastes they work much better within the framework of the first L.A. Düsseldorf album. |

Fish and chocolate
What a coincidence ! I have a cd alarm and everyday i put a different cd in to wake up to and then i listen to it later in the day.I woke up today with the relentless beat of the song "Dusseldorf" from LA DUSSELDORF of course. I'm looking forward to listening to it on the way home from work today. |

So Far is my favorite Faust album, but Neu! 2 is uneven to put it mildly. IV and Neu! are both pretty flawless so the best pair for me.

Am i the only one who's not that big of a fan of NEU!'s debut?
I really like some songs on it, but overall as an album it doesn't do much for me.

Faust So Far and Neu! 2 - one unarguable krautrock classic and one album which divides opinons to this day - but teo classic opening tracks in It's a Rainy Day and Fur Immer.

If anything that makes it more obvious, although I suppose I would still vote for Faust Tapes and Neu! |

I'm not familiar with Neu! (yet) so no vote but of the three Faust albums, it's
IV>Debut>So Far for me (and I really like So Far, just not as much as the
others).

Good question, my immediate reaction was Faust IV/Neu! as I haven't played Neu! 2 and 75 for a while, but I might set the playlists up on my iPod now and have another listen.

I've had those three Neu! albums for about a year, and I like them all, but I won't pretend that I can actually tell them apart - they're pretty interchangeable to me. So I voted based on my Faust preferences, and Faust So Far is my favorite of those three.

I don't know, the first Faust is just so flippin weird, I've never been able to get into it. One of the most unique albums I've ever heard, but hardly find enjoyable. I love all the Neu! albums though, so I could go for any of those. Probably Faust IV with the debut, that sounds good.
