Topic: 2112, side 2 Posted: December 21 2011 at 08:17 |
On 21/12:
I've always been slightly ambivalent about side 2 of 2112; some songs are great sometimes but get on my nerves at others (ie the rather nonsensical lyrics to A Passage to Bangkok).
So which is side 2's best track?

I rather like them all. I have a soft spot for Lessons. Yes i really love that one. Something For Nothing is very good too. It's all great!
But this occasion, Lessons.

They are all good......one of those misunderstood Side 2's. Something For Nothing is a song that I played over and over and over as a kid back in the day....that is my choice.

A close call between A Passage to Bangkok and Something for Nothing. I'll go with the latter on this occasion.

I don't do drugs - never have, never will. They destroyed one of the best friends I've ever had at 32. That's why my drug lingo is deficient (I'm delighted to say)
If it's a druggie song, I'm choosing Something for Nothing.

My favourite is probably Tears. It's a beautiful, sad song and is also probably one of favorites from Rush's early days.
