Starless is pretty good-4 stars
Fracture is ok-3 stars

Fracture starts off well but gets boring from the 2nd half onwards

Just listened to "Fracture" for the first time so I could vote in this poll.  It's nice (I love the riffs), but "Starless" is simply the most stunning piece of music I've ever heard, by any band.  That soprano sax at the end always sends chills down my spine, and Fripp's "solo" in the middle section is just amazing.  No contest for me.

Fracture to me is one of the few songs that can get close to the experience of Starless, especially the USA version of Fracture. All that tension, and the way release it in the end. But in Starless the tension-building and release was even greater, creating what is the most complete feeling I know. After a proper Red finishes with Starless, I almost feel like I could die happy.

"Fracture". Love the guitar. The band is freaking out on full throttle, just hauling a$%! Grizzly, brutal, ... . I can actually feel the music pulsating. "Starless" isn't actually that close, but still a classic.

Fracture.

In my view Starless is Fripp in a rare moment looking to the past instead of forward, and returning to the formula of the debut album. Well it's still a good song but Fracture is the essence of Krim.

Well, the lyrics are all but Christmas-like... unless you like to spend your Christmas with a Black Bible.

Maybe try a lava lamp instead?

A polarising poll like this makes Fracture look weak, just because Starless is better. They both wipe the floor with....... well, most music.

Fracture definitely has a dramatic finish...

...but Starless has an even more dramatic finish, both to the song itself and to the band at the time...

Starless. As mentioned above, it is absolutely King Crimson's best song and definitely in top3 of all time prog songs. And very emotional song ...
