I for one would like to encourage you to do so.  Our English swear words are so worn out you know. Tongue

I find this thread very amusing so let me, if I may, add my two cents to it. Big smile

The word in question seems to be a (not very inventive) derivation of "pizda" (I'm omitting the Censored stars only for demonstrative purposes), which I believe carries both of the above vulgar meanings in Russian (in my native language it is a vulgarism, but not that derogatory).

Okay, however Vic described it as "cheekily pejorative" rather than "coarse and offensive", and you yourself said it was derivative which would make it more like pussy or tw*t  than c*nt, but you know best.

I'm really unable to suitably translate it into English slang, wiki offers this, which works to some extent, except that you would have to think it in even more slick terms, like "cool as f*ck" or "I'd hit it (I'd hit me? LOL)".

I wouldn't deny it is coarse, it would indeed be injurious towards a regular audience and showy, brash if intentionally chosen as a username.

By the way, someone should send him a private message and suggest he change his name to Dixville Notch. Wink

Perhaps you're right.

Maybe not a complete ban (by IP), but leave him the possibility to register under normal nick. I guess he thought it's funny to have a "cool" nick, and nobody understands the meaning. It was very childish.

In that case his account and ratings should deleted without debate or argument.

It's more like "c*nt" and rather offensive.

What does the c word mean in your neck of the woods?  Is it always derogatory or is it just slang for female genitalia?  It can go both ways here.   I would have no idea pizdoss is derogatory if I hadn't heard it here first and will be very careful not to use it in jest or otherwise if I should make it over there one day.

I guess he should have picked santorum. Wink

^ I imagine the more accurate translation would be the p-word (rather than the coarser c-word) like the feline image in Slarti's signature.
