My Last.fm
Jazz-rock conspiracy? Zappa and Miles played at the same festivals in the
summer of '69 right BEFORE Hot Rats AND Bitches Brew were recorded.

They don't sleep anymore on the beach...
And all the stars were crashing 'round as I laid eyes on what I found...

I generally hate to listen to old people ramble on like that, but I just love this.

Sometimes music can wow me from the inside more than from the outside:

"Composing itself, in a way, is a simplifying process, just trying to pick some (strands?) out [of] the clamour in the head." - Robert Wyatt.

This is kind of distressing.  A week or so ago, I wrote a new song called "Mistakes", for the band to play.   We haven't gotten together to play it yet, so I haven't even heard it yet, except in my head.  But it's been going through my head nonstop, and I'm actually sick of it already, when it doesn't even technically exist yet.
