You mean five percent? Or have the rates gone up today?

Right now my brain is playing a Cardiacs song called Fiery Gun Hand, ,but the theme from Bob the Builder keeps getting interjected because my daughter's watching it on TV.

Dangit, that's what I get for listening in music in my head. Tongue
Probably more like 30% these days anyway.

The English Beat's "Bathroom Mirror" (1980). But it may be because I've already listened to this song 4 or 5 times since yesterday.

Something off The Incident but I don't know the song by name.  Has "another day" in the lyrics.

I know them as The Beat. I guess they are called The English Beat in the US only, similarly to The Mission UK.

^
Do the US also precise that Madness, Specials and The Selecter are from England ?
The first time I saw the name The Mission UK, I was wondering if it's a band different from The Mission...

There was already a band Called The Beat in the USA so hence the name.  No I don't think any of the others had to change their name.  I believe there was a Mission in the States too but I'm not sure.

I was listening to the sound of mass lawn mowing earlier. It was alright to fill the silence in the air but I had trouble studying.

It's funny but at my age and having listened to a lot of stuff over the course of my life I can often call stuff up at will in my mind.  Doesn't have quite the fidelity of actual audio. LOL

Track 3, "Bold Eternal Day" from:

I just can't get that Kansas-inflected guitar riff out of my head!  I'm actually trying to figure it out on guitar.

At least it's still in stereo, I hope. LOL

It's going to take some effort to get this out of my head

Cause what the world needs now
Is another folk singer
Like I need a hole in my head

Quite unexpectedly, I wound up going to a Cracker concert tonight.  It was a get-together for a friend of ours who was having a birthday, and it was at an Irish pub.  Little did I know that this pub had set up an outdoor tent with a bunch of bands, with Cracker being the headliner.  Those of you who were aware of 90s alternative rock probably remember them.  The singer used to be in Camper Van Beethoven (a band I LOVED).  Cracker isn't nearly as interesting, but they have one or two songs I like.

Had 'Dearg Doom' by The Horslips going around my head all night at work.
No doubt it's an amazing song but after about 5 hours I got a bit sick of it.
