Lower Middle Class / Working Class, I guess.

We don't have classes where I live, but I'm not exactly rich.

I know we in the Nordic countries put some emphasis on equality, but still...Norway has done it properly! Shocked
Big smileYou know what I mean. We don't have defined classes in the Nordic countries, do we?

Of course we have people who are richer than others, but how much money you have doesn't divide the people to that extent as I think it does in other countries (but I'm only guessing here, I don't presume to know how this affects the day-to-day lives of people in other countries).

I figured that's what you meant. Just being an ass LOL.
And you're doing a hell of a job at itBig smile

Why, thank you, kind Sir!

I'm not sure we do, or at least in the U.S. I think class is more a reflection of education and social maturity than one of lineage and wealth.  I know a whole lot of poor people who are more educated, intelligent and have far more couth than many hyper-wealthy people such as athletes, celebrities and people who inherited their money rather than earned it.

BTW, I would put myself in the 'pulled myself up by the bootstraps' category - I lived in public housing (HUD) as a child and can remember standing in line with my mother for government cheese and milk and shopping at Goodwill and the Salvation Army.  But thanks to a strong family work ethic, some encouraging teachers and friends, and a small amount of financial aid from Uncle Sam I now have several college degrees and a well-compensated professional career.  In terms of class, I would say I now know it's best to cover one's mouth while belching, and preferably to do it discreetly and outside the earshot of others.

Class of 97

Oh, wait.  I'm not sure. Please define boundaries and requirements. I might be upper higher class if we consider that most of my possesions are useless items that are mostly for leisure activities like a gigantic cd collection that few actual rich guys have. But I'll be quite low class if we check my bank account. Which is strongly related to my previous point.

If non-essential possessions are the measure of a man, then class is inversely proportional to the size of flat-screen TV you own.
Class is knowing when to turn the damn tv off when there are visitors in your house Tongue
