For me, Powerslave is the band's most overrated album. Still a strong record, but some songs just don't seem to hold up very well in my opinion... especially Aces High, which is one of my least favorite Maiden openers.

^ Wow - first time I've heard anyone say that of Powerslave !!
And either way, Number is a damn fine album - not a weak track on it......... |

Brave New World is my favorite Maiden album. All the songs are amazing; Blood Brothers, Fallen Angel, Dream of Mirrors, The Nomad, Out of the Silent Planet, etc.
Seventh Son is a close second and Somewhere in Time probably third. I find Number of the Beast and Powerslave very good but a tad overrated.

Hmm, that would be Iron Maiden, Iron Maiden, and the debut Iron Maiden.
Peace of Mind ain't bad either. |

I like all the albums between Iron Maiden & Seventh Son, Powerslave it is from those three. Haven´t listened any album after Seventh Son except Fear of the Dark (liked only title song) and Book Of Souls (it was ok).

They start to lose me after Seventh Son, which is my favorite. Fear of the Dark never clicked besides the title track for me, either. Everything after that feels very forced IMHO. 90's Maiden was a weird time.

Afraid to Shoot Strangers is a good track from Fear of the Dark, Wasting Love is pretty good too. Virtual XI has some great tracks in my opinion--Futureal, Como Estais Amigos and the amazing The Clansman, one of my favourites of theirs. As for this poll, I'd probably choose Powerslave because of the consistency throughout the album, although Seventh of the Seventh has some amazing tracks too. Edit: Formatting

Went with Powerslave, although by that time my interest in Maiden was waning. I have many fond memories of the earlier albums.
