Nice one!! just reading this one and I may not have fallen for it as I have been hearing otherwise from SW, but very good April Fools.

Off topic but the best one I saw last week was one about Rush making the cover of Rolling Stone, and featuring an article something like "Real reason why Rush is not in the RRHOF.......I think it is on www.2112.net

Thanks for getting me excited about nothing! LOL For Wilson, going back to Porcupine Tree after GfD would be a step backwards, in my humble opinion...

Glad it's a joke, but I agree with this comment.  As much as I like PTree, they were becoming quite stagnant (even though I enjoyed the last album).

Considering the work he has been doing, and producing, if he didn't have a large backlog of musical ideas, I would think that he is not as good as he thinks he is ... and by the time you show up with Klaus Schulze, King Crimson, and many other things, I imagine that if you do not have any ideas, then you are as thick as a brick, and probably not any more intlligent!

I don't think it matters if PT is there or not, to me. There is such a thing as ... what do they call that time in the 40's when you dump your wife for a younger lady, or you dump him for some younger stud?

If creativity is your middle name, it won't matter if PT is there or not. very simple!

Regardless of any April Fool's joke or not!

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Having all of PTree's major studio CDs, plus some not so major ones, ... I am a huge fan of their stuff, all of the various styles they've gone through.  I'm less of a fan of Steve's solo work.  Great to know that it was a joke, and that the April Fools spirit is alive and well !

Pretty much this.

Probably because

If true, I don't have a problem with this. The first disc of The Incident is perhaps my favourite PT thing, it's good to let go on top. At least for a while, waiting to be inspired again.

I'd rather see a Harrison/Barbieri/Edwin space-jazz kind of trio or something anyway. You can tell they're incredibly capable musicians and writers by their other projects, but PT seemed like a Wilson-run show.
