ok i'm slow this morning...did they do the entire 20 minute Flight piece? (if so, hope they do it at the Regent...wow...)

Yes, they did and it was incredible!! They played for a little under 2 hour's I'd say. Refugees was a special for NF only thing, so I don't know if they will play it anymore.

Zombywoof, how did they go over with the NF crowd (undoubtedly there were many VdGG fans, but probably a portion who were neutral as well). Good reception?

... they played one or two more, but I didn't recognize them. Nothing from the classic era. Peter's voice was in fine form and the band rocked the house.


I don't know what's "normal" for a VdGG set list, but "Flight" kind of surprised me there.  Isn't that a 20 minute suite on one of Hammill's old solo albums (Black Box)?  Just surprised that a solo Hammill song would make the set list, let alone a 20 minute one.

VDGG were probably my first prog show back in 2009. It was great :D . Saw them in Nokia Theatre in NYC. I actually won this raffle thing for the first time in my life and got VIP seats, which just meant I sat in a balcony close to stage it was awesome.
