... Ermm ... I think I see what you are saying: don't think about hardship as much as about the good stuff that is happening at the same time. It's just that in times like these one can't help but think about hardship as a matter of merit. Merit and fairness go hand-in-hand. I don't think that fairness is something made up by a man, but rather sought after by a man in EVERYTHING, and it cannot be ascribed to, say, earthquakes or floods or whatnot. I guess the question of this thread is too abstract, and a good, intelligent answer to it is beyond our scope.

Some say that life is how you make it, and I tend to agree. Sure, there are some who have everything when they are born, but people who struggle to accomplish something, manage to do it in most of the cases. It is easier to complain than to do something. And no, life is not fair.
