As I had mentioned elsewhere, I regard this as one of the finest pop albums ever produced.  What's the best song of the eight?

Good album, but there's a couple of tracks here I don't really remember. I need to relisten first as well.

I hate dealing in superlatives, but I am a fan of the album, too.  I got a used copy and when it arrived in the mail, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. LOL
It was several years ago and just went back to the library room and smelled it again.  It might be my imagination but there is still a lingering odor.  I just thought I'd share.

I remember when it first came out.  My uncle had bought a copy of The Hurting when it came out so I was familiar with them and already liked them.  But anyway, I can't vote for a radio hit because I've heard them way too much.  I seem to recall I Believe being dedicated to Robert Wyatt, but it isn't in the CD liner notes.

Shout, of course.

I think this album doesn't have enough bite to it. It's a bit too 80s Genesis for me. I'll take Depeche Mode or even Simple Minds over Tears for Fears except for a few singles.

Everybody... is my favourite song , a truly positive, energetic and proud song by a band at their peak
you know Procol Harum created their own nieche in prog in the 70s like theyr own symph prog sound which they molded to their own IMO, quote Aginor

Head Over Heals.  Although the entire album is awesome.  By the way, the deluxe edition has them covering Robert Wyatt's Sea Song.

I consider Broken to be part of a suite with Head Over Heels, so those two together is my favorite.  Voted for Broken, but really meant both of them.  Phenomenal album.  I worked in a record store in the summer of '85 when it came out, and we played that thing every day in the store, along with "The Hurting", their prior album.  Still sounds as fresh today as it did then.

I love practically every 80s band that ever existed more than this awful album from an awful band, seriously I'd rather listen to Haircut 100 or Flock Of Seagulls over this. No redeeming features whatsoever, the run-out groove is probably the best track.

I wore this album out when I was about 12-13 years old, not as big a fan now. For pure pop the main single "Everybody want to rule the world" is the strongest. Other albums are better.
Current Listening:

Heater valve kicking on.
Snotty noses being blown.
Griping.
Maybe cookies coming out of the oven???

C is for cookie, and it is good enough for me.
