Hmm, I've never really thought of most of these bands as acid folk, except for Comus, and Spires, not enough improvisition and long drawn out stuff.
Heres what I have to offer anyway.
Ignatz. very bluesy folk stuff.

I like the Decemberists but don't think of them as Acid, Hazards Of Love and Thr Crane Wife are both good proggy folk.

Neither do I, but they remind me of Comus for some reason.

The fact of the matter is that NO ONE sounds like Comus ... and that's a good thing.

I'm a huge fan of alt/acid folk and all the recommendations so far are excellent. I'd also recommend Fresh Maggots, Trees, Heron, Mellow Candle, In Gowan Ring, Stone Breath, Donovan ( the 'Sunshine Superman' album is seminal) and Mark Fry's long lost classic  'Dreaming With Alice' :
