A bit of a random poll here, who is your favourite Steve?

With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.

HolyMoly is my second choice. Sorry Steve, from what I can tell, you're an exceptional guy and a fantastic musician, but I picked Steve Hackett.

List of people I like (and that I can remeber) who are named Steve:
Steve Hackett
Steve Howe
Steve Reich
Steve Robey

They're all musicians. they could form a band. They would be called The Steves and play Minimalistic Symphonic Prog Hard Rock.

No Steve Howe?

Good. Wouldn't have picked him anyway. I would have picked little Stevie Hawkins, but I don't think anyone ever calls him Steve, and I could have perhaps picked Steve Vai.

Anyway... Other: Steve Davis - snooker player and Zeuhl fan.

Voted for my buddy Steve, although the name practically is non existent in Denmark. We do however have a fair deal of humdinger Steves on PA - so here's to HolyMoly and Lazland!
The Steves are emerging....

On another note: I gather Steve is like the Danish Peter. Probably deserves an explanation.... The thing is that I#ve never ever in my life come across a man named Peter that wasn't the personification of a stand-up guy. Similarly, the Steves I've met all seem to be sports of a high caliber.

Lots of Steffens yes, but is that a fair translation though...? It is however pretty funny.
People named Steffen in Denmark are either school principals or newspaper columnists. They smoke the pipe and loathe fashionable clothing.

I'd say it was a direct translation - Steven and Stephen are pronounced the same in English.

And yup, that pretty much describes English Steve's too, Steve Davis's knickname is Steve "interesting" Davis (because he isn't), Steve Wilson looks like a Geography teacher who's trying hard to be "hip and down with the kids", Steve Hogarth looks like the head of a Geography department and Steve Howe looks like the retired head of a Geography department.
