I've always thought Rush got better after 2112 so no contest for me. There's not one weak chord on Moving Pictures.

Yes, it is. It's puzzling. And it's Moving Pictures, although it tires me so.

The album on your avatar tires me as well

the way you reply when someone criticizes Rush is hilarious. This time you've outdone yourself. :))))

Stating an opinion on how Red tires me out means I'm replying because of Rush?? Lol

People can criticize Rush all they want. I could care less

I was gonna say it's age-specific: I think of 2112 as a high school record.   But you're in your 50s, so . . .

MP, definitely.

Compared to most pre 1991 albums side two on 2112 is rather weak so it kind of loses points for that. However, even though the title track is one of the best things they have ever done it still doesn't put it ahead of MP which is a near perfect album.

I'm gonna go with 2112. I've always found Moving Pictures a bit overrated. 2112 is my favorite album for the suite and despite not being progressive I also love the shorter songs on the 2nd side.

You ought to listen to it more often to enhance what surely must be a dismal, pathetic life experience out there in that garden spot of garden spots, Pacoima.

Comparing a 9.9 to a perfect ten. Both are so great as to make making a distinction meaningless. Gun to my head, I say Moving Pictures, but there is a special kind of greatness in 2112 that appears nowhere else.

_Moving Pictures_

_2112_ was the very first album I ever purchased with my own money.  Still an awesome listen, but definitely a tale of two halves.

_Moving Pictures_ is nearly perfect and Rush at its pinnacle, (I'd include _Permanent Waves_).  MP's weakest tracks, "Witch Hunt" and "Vital Signs" are leaps and bounds better than "The Twilight Zone" or "Lessons".
