Well, yeah, who do you think would be out front as fan favorites on a prog blog site. It's Tull, although more albums didn't exactly add up to better quality.

I almost voted for both because it was a tough choice. I liked the earlier albums by both bands but started losing interest in Led Zep while continuing to enjoy Tull. I saw JethroTull one time in 1976 along with Robin Trower, Rory Gallagher and Starcastle. It was a show put on by the Chrysalis label. I never saw Led Zeppelin live but would like to have seen an earlier concert featuring songs from the first three LPs.

I adore Zep as a classic/hard rock band, and I adore Tull equally as a prog band... Both

Always loved Zep but not one of their albums came close to Heavy Horses or Songs From the Wood for me

Where is the 'neither' option.  Never been a great fan of either tbh but TAAB is totally brilliant album versus In Through The Out Door which is how I like my LZ ( keyboards!) . Brick it has to be.

Both bands released fabulous albums on their own merits (Tull released more fantastic albums) as Zeppelin only 9 in their time of living.
Heavens, Aqualung and the 4th Album were recorded in the same studio complex at the same time.
Both explored variety, both toured together, even Roots To Branches fits close to the Page / Plant - Unledded album - though of course the Tull classic is all original material. Though P and P really did indulge their rearrangement capabilities.
There's re a couple of great bootlegs from the Berkeley Theatre Ca, 1971 of both Tull and Zep (separate concerts folks) done by the same people (I think, going by the fine audience recordings...)
Both bands. Great stuff.
