I like Camel, but Tull by miles - after all these years I still listen to a lot of Tull.

Why is Mirage and Snowgoose rated so highly here? The debut album is better than both. Supertwister and Nimrodel are first class but the other songs on Mirage don't match the same quality of melody. Freefall has sh*tty bass ideas and lyrics through the verses and lady fantasy has crappy rocky moments. Snowgoose has an overload of non vocal moments. Migration, Rhyader, Flight of the snowgoose and Dunkirk are the highlights for me. I reckon Autumn and Riverman are better tracks than half the music on Mirage and Snowgoose. Moomnadness and Raindances are camels gems though

You are wrong about Lady Fantasy. It is divine.

Read the book "The Snow Goose" by Paul Gallico. When you understand the story he wrote, you will understand why The Snow Goose is the single most perfect piece of music composed by mankind.
The moods Camel create, the pictures they paint WITHOUT USING ANY WORDS are simply utter genius.
Rain Dances is a very good album, but The Snow Goose is incomparable.

CAMEL
They just have it. Tull has some individual great songs, but so much that leaves me cold. I have lots of trouble stomaching Anderson's voice for more than a few tracks, no matter how good the lyrics and (sometimes) the music. I'm a prog folk guy, but many other bands scratch that itch better than Tull

Tull. Camel bored me back in the 70s.

Love Tulls early and late 70s. Heavy horses, songs from the wood are high quality. Storm watch is really solid but the bonus tracks are first class on that cd and make the remaster a must have. The bonus tracks on all 3 are first class but storm watch has more of them. I reckon minstrel is pretty weak for Tull standards. Too old is pretty equal. Taab and app are prog monsters and if u want the best 2 remasters of all time go and get war child and aqualung 2 cd remix

STOP!!! STOP! STOP! STOP! ... You can't vote because you have too few posts in your post count ... and because lots of people on this forum don't like the idea of someone shouting with all caps.

Tull is one of the bands that I feel like I ought to like but just can't get into. Camel gets my vote.

Camel, but I personally find a lot of their music over hyped - *ahem* Mirage. Tull, well, let's just say I've lost interest in them, a lot.

Greetings to all Progressive Rock enthusiasts. Just joined today in an effort to vote in the Tull Camel poll. I will vote for Tull when the system allows me to. Without Tull, life would be quite Dull. Rock on!
