I'm honestly pretty excited. I hope it will be good, but we know how these things go..

Too short to judge.
I don't like his vocals :

"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

Some might say the same of his father.

Anyway, I didn't like the song.

I actually liked it, sorry if my comment came off as the opposite! Haha

My wife and I like it.  Good pop tune.

that pop tune sounds nothing like his new album--at least the bit I heard---I guess he was his Dad in 2008 but now is tuning into a more serious prog dude.

Whoa, does he look like his father. Even sounds like his father at some moments: there's this a twist in his voice which is very Phil - like. On top of that: even elements of his composition are very Phillish.
Not a bad pop tune BTW.

The pop song seemed to drag because of how many times the lyrics were repeated. Not awful though.

Promising. I'll be buying the album.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Well this sounds perfunctory and the old single 2008 sounds like something by a boy band.  So if you like that kind of thing...
Help me I'm falling!

Now that his father is retired---maybe he should just team up with Banks, Rutherford, and Hackett and tour---Zep uses their drummers son.

Well, well! Here's me thinking that only artists who are already added on the site can go here, and that artists who aren't on the site have to go in 'Get The Word Out' forum, 'General Music Discussions' or similar. So, on 9th January I posted this in the 'Get The Word Out' forum, where there have been just 22 views in three days (about six of which were my own initial 'tweaks' with the editing!) I duplicated the thread in the  Suggest New Bands forum, knowing how little-visited the 'Get The Word Out' forum  actually is, & where it has fared slightly better with 39 views so far (and even one reply! Shocked ). They've both got a long way to go to catch up with the 343 views and 15 replies that this thread has enjoyed so far though. Just shows where people come on here to find stuff out, doesn't it. Tongue
Similarly Rob Cottingham of the band Touchstone has a fine new solo album out on Monday, which I posted in 'Get The Word Out' forum four whole months ago, with an average of just one viewing a day since then (and no replies at all other than my own updates). Rob was also added to the Suggest New Bands forum earlier this morning, where he has similarly been rather scantily viewed so far.

This Prog News, Press Releases forum is obviously the place to put stuff to get it noticed, as this topic has so comprehensively proved, but I always thought it was only for bands already approved and featured on the site? Confused

And there it was gone...and now in General Music Discussions. but you can follow this project in Suggest New Bands and Artists forum too from here on (see links above) - and I'm sure his band 'Sound of Contact' will be easily added to the site once the album is released quite soon now. Thumbs Up
