What good are the BTB series if they aren't complete shows and sound bad? I have the show most of Piquantique is from, thanks to Zappateers.com, and not only is it a full show, it's a soundboard recording, meaning it sounds like an actual live album, as opposed to Piquantique which sounds like a really bad audience recording.
We might as well count the "Old Masters" series as well (unfortunately the ZFT assigned them release numbers, but they're not perfect either) I generally go by this site http://lukpac.org/~handmade/patio/vinylvscds/ as they are quite accurate. Anything in the 'core catalog' and 'posthumous releases' is part of the official discography. Mothermania also counts, as it was put together by FZ. Edited by darkshade - January 30 2013 at 11:36 |

You liked Finer Moments a lot eh? I enjoyed it too, but I haven't given it enough listens. Will have to throw it on again sooner or later.

Yea the 2nd track, and the last 2 tracks (I think) on disc 1 have some amazing solos, from both FZ and whoever plays the sax on the Inca Roads-type jam (probably Ian Underwood).

1966-1979......both periods within that time frame are excellent....but Hot Rats has always been my personal favorite by Zappa.
