It's evident that the majority of voters didn't fully understand the poll question. We haven't seek the favourite song , but the best guitar work from Banks era. Of course, Astral Traveller is pleasant and marvellous song, but I feel that Peter's best guitar playing is in "Every Little Thing".

^ I've read the question, and I'm still going with the one where this guy really gets to shine. I don't know what about the other folks here, though.

I went for I see you - it was a tricky choice, but it is a fabulous showcase of his chops!

OK, it's evident that Peter has been somewhat overshadowed by Jon & Chris, either by sound or composing. Only since Flash he could fully express his individuality including composing skills. What a pity that Colin Carter's voice sounds like a circular saw, which causes that Flash's overall sound is a bit annoying.

I voted "Beyond and Before" before I listened to the first two Yes releases carefully.  I agree with you, "Every Little Thing" (the Beatles cover) is Banks' best work with Yes, at least that I've heard.

Rather a limiting question, and slightly insulting as his best work came post-Yes. Listening to Yes' third album (sometimes described as the first Flash LP) there are indications of his talent really blossoming.

^ What's so insulting about it? And ... Yes' 3rd = Flash's 1st? He wasn't there on Yes' 3rd.

I'll say "Time and a Word" as much as a dedication to the memory of the original YES guitarist. Now we'll never know the truth about his link to Clouds - did he join or didn't he? RIP Peter Banks.
