Nude is brilliant, Stationary Traveller is also excellent. The Single Factor I'd rather not discuss.

The Yes and Genesis albums are all a shdow of their earlier work as is The Final Cut, and I really don't like King Crimson much. Metromania is OK but not as good as Planets and their other earlier and excellent stuff.

The only real rival to Nude is A Momentary Lapse of Reason, but it doesn't get there.

So Nude

I agree with you fully Hercules, Nude it is by a long margin. Momenentary lapse of reason being the choice but for the Camel works on the list which far surpass the others.

King Crimson discipline by far and PF momentary lapse after.

well ahem i'm not including so-called neo-prog bands/albums in this poll!!  its more about how the 70s bands survived into the 80s and the interesting stuff they did to adapt to the decade............

Nude is the only album which I would give a five star rating. The Final Cut is second on this list.

And about JT: I am not very deep into their 80s work, but The Broadsword and the Beast is a rather good album that would fit quite well on this list.

I know it ain't listed but I've always felt that Emerson, Lake and Powell's solitary album from 1985 was rather nifty

Definitely Nude, not only the best 80's album in this list, but also among Camel's greatest albums, all eras included.  An album I come back to as often as Moonmadness, Snow Goose, Mirage and Rain Dances.

This poll shows how a bad imact the 80s had on us fans. We are still comparing them with the "good other periods".
Well, there are several albums that I absolutely love here:
I'm a fan of 90125.
The two Floyds that, even if in their worst period are still superior to some others' 70s stuff
Tho of the three Camel albums (I hate The Single Factor) and even Metromania is not too bad.

I don't have the three KC albums and from the scores it looks like I'm really missing something.

The album I still spin more is Stationary Traveller. I like playing my guitar on the title track (and I'm still unable to do it perfectly after all those years).
