I have known this band for a many year but have been wondering if they are a Prog Metal band or even Prog?Let me know what you all think

Their first albums are not prog, just plain celtic folk metal.

I didn't follow them thoroughly to have an opinion of their prog credentials, but I read that they turned somewhat prog in the last ten years.

They probably followed a similar evolution as Blind Guardian.

I would not say they are a prog band actually, though they do have some prog songs and even a proggy album, but they are more folk metal.

yeah i agree ,folk metal seems the right category for them

If all you guys seem to agree that they are Folk Metal then someone should make a correction because they are under Progressive Metal here on PA

^ on a similar note, most people agree that Blind Guardian are not a progressive metal band (not even in their couple more adventurous releases) but they are also on PA but nothing we can do about that
