Kanoi is a project of one of our forum fellows: MustardSea.
I have clicked on the link below his forum signature which has sent me to his bandcamp page.

I have listened to some samples....and I've downloaded everything.

I think it's a good fit for PA.

I don't describe his music as you can listen to it from bandcamp.

Hey guys,

thanks to octopus-4 for suggesting my band for submission!
I'd like to update you people about what happened around my band recently:

First of all: I released a new album called "Moonglow" which mixes my love for heavy-fuzzy-power-trio-played-rock with beatlesque melodies and a late sixties sound aesthetic... I wrote and recorded this over a nine month period from August 2012 to April 2013 which makes this the longest time I spent on a record to this date.

Here's a track taken from the album called "Witch Mt." plus the lyrics of the song (which someone from Greece kindly uploaded onto YouTube):

and here's an album-trailer:

and finally the link to the album on bandcamp:

...and the second big thing (for me at least Wink) that happend a few days ago:

a young film-maker called Chad read a review of an album of mine on the big ol' internet and asked if he could use some music of mine for his (back then) upcoming, self-financed/written/produced movie called "Untold Lie".

The movie's available now for you to stream and watch on Youtube and features music taken from two records by me! ("Fierce Ghosts" and "Vessels")

Here's the movie:

tell me what you think!

Well, well, well... here's some more information about the project (I already posted this over at the "Welcome Artists" thread but modified the information a bit)

Kanoi's a one man "band" based in Vienna (Austria) with a varying rooster of musical guests (mostly friends). It was formed around 2010 when I left my old band because of musical differences (mainly me wanting to play more experimental music and the others not LOL).

I write, play and record everything on my own at my home studio and also do the artwork myself.

The music's mainly a mixture of ambient sounds and 70ies Floyd inspired space rock (I even did a cover of Pink Floyd's "Cirrus Minor" - an underrated gem of a song) but I'm always eager to try new things as I hate nothing more than bands repeating themselves over and over again. Wink

Also, my album "Fierce Ghosts" is available as a handmade and limited CD-edition - check it out here: http://www.kanoi.bandcamp.com/album/fierce-ghosts

My latest EP "Basque For Barrel" made its way into the monthly Bandcamp Review Roundup on The Active Listener blog.
Here's the link: http://www.active-listener.blogspot.co.at/2013/06/bandcamp-review-roundup.html

Enjoy.
