Can't overemphasize the impact of Hipgnosis in not just the progressive rock field, but in the art world overall.

Oh lord, RIP Storm. Brilliant artist with a vast array of work, not just the iconic DSOTM.

He did the artwork for the first two Mars Volta CDs, some more of my all time favorite artworks.

Very sad to just read this. A man who hung with FLOYD members long before they became famous. Loved his art work too.

One of the first names in progressive rock artwork and design, R.I.P

I'm sure we all have a favourite (or MANY favourites) Storm piece.

Here's a thought - how many artists could boast that millions of people worldwide own prints of not just one, but many pieces of his/her work?

For myself, I must own a couple of dozen, at least.

Storm Thorgerson RIP

Very sad news. He created some of my favourite album covers - I am thinking of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" in particular. He will be greatly missed but has left a wonderful legacy - R.I.P.

And there was a poll about he and Roger Dean just few days ago...

I have recently reread for the n'th time Nick Mason's Inside Out, he his in a lot of pages and photos.
How many artists are gone in the last 12 months? Kevin Ayers, Jon Lord, Betty Thatcher, Michael Dunford...
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.
