^^You could say that but it really offers the strongest material(musically) than any other with him on vocals

Because the question reads: "Which of the two albums has over-all lyrical superiority?"

I chose the easy option and voted for both, but I truly do find the two albums have very touching, thoughtful, evocative and sophisticated words. `Eleventh Earl Of Mar' and `Mad Moon Man' in particular are very stirring tales. What a pair of wonderful albums!

Trick has the better songs. I vote Trick
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

Tough call, TOTT has Entangled, Ripples etc, WAW has Earl of Mar, Vine, Rooftops, Afterglow.
I think on balance Afterglow might just swing it for Wind and Wuthering.

I'd say that both albums' lyrics are on the same level.

Trick of the Tail. From an emotional standpoint, my first Genesis concert was on the tour for this album. Phenomenal. W & W is a really good album as well.

Yeah, I love both but voted for Trick after I read your comment! I've skipped over the song so many times I forgot about it.
