I voted for Emperor iIn His War Room, it's a favorite of mine. I love the quiet beginning section. Just a classic of theirs in my eyes. Though VdGG's early era is probably my favorite collection of albums from a single band.

A friend knew I was a King Crimson/Fripp maniac and played me Emporer...it was the 1st VDGG song I ever heard and I was instantly hooked.  I love all the VDGG 70's albums, but the early albums remain my favourites to this day.

Never liked the single version. There's only one Refugees.

(3. Would have been "Killer" has it not been for the lyrical amateur hour on Pete's part.)

Let's add "Darkness", "Refugees", and "White Hammer" to it. Awesome tracks.

Great additional choices.  This was originally side 1 of the vinyl and blew me away the first time I heard it.
why not add 'Whatever Would Robert....' ,  'Out Of My Book' and 'After The Flood' for an absolute PERFECT list LOL.

Pioneers over C is the winner here. Sent some votes the way of Darkness (11/11), After the Flood, and Killer as well.

Might give After the Flood and the vocal bits of White Hammer a miss. The rest is brilliant.

Death in the sea, death in the sea,
Somebody please come and help me,
Come and help me
Fishes can't fly, fishes can't fly,
Fishes can't and neither can I, neither can I
Don't Bore Us, Get To The Chorus

I've only gotten into VdGG very recently, so I sadly haven't heard The Least We Can Do...  quite yet.

Out of the H to He songs, my favourites are probably Killer and Pioneers Over C, although every track on the album is quite good.
