On the sleeve of my vinyl copy of Lift Your Skinny Fists, it says "godspeed (god's pee) as of late", and in 3 different places of my Allelujah Don't Bend Ascend CD, it lists the band as "God's Pee" with "Godspeed You! Black Emperor" appearing nowhere on the CD, including the spine.  What's up with this?  Just some deranged fun from the band?  Also, the band sometimes lists their name as Godspeed You! Black Emperor and sometimes as Godspeed You Black Emperor!  I think it's rather funny how they appear to give zero f**ks about stuff like this.  Any thoughts?

About the name, it was originally called Godspeed You Black Emperor! on the first release F#A# infinity. But for the next record they made the simple change. Also "gods pee" is just a byproduct of their dark sense of humor (they really do give zero f**cks).

Yeah, it's kind of cool they fall under all those aliases. It kind of adds to their mild anonymity.

I thought it was Yanqui were they changed the !. Maybe they now are called God's Pee?

Yeah, you're right man. According to wikipedia. Smile I like it better like that though. Surely one of the greatest bands names.
