I'm not a fan of Neal Morse & Co., but he's quite popular on this site and perfectly fits to my poll idea, ie comparing of former frontman with his mother band.

I do really like them both, but `Testimony' wipes the floor with the first non-Neal Spock's album, even though tracks like `Ghost of Autumn' are truly superb.

`Testimony' is endlessly catchy, melodic, and a truly passionate lyric from Neal that was clearly so important to him. It's probably a little too long, but damn it's a quality album. The live DVD of it is mind-blowing too.

`Feel Euphoria' has a couple of duds and seems a little directionless, mainly because the band seems to be taking the opportunity to play in some styles that hadn't already up to that point, but some of it works really well, especially that track I mentioned above. However, pretty much every other Spock's album that the Nick-led band recorded were a big improvement on it.

Testimony is such a personal, and therefore intimate concept with some stunning ballads, great themes and a fine positive message, so I'll go for that. Spock's took a couple of albums before they re-found their true identity, although Feel Euphoria does have a good nice long suite and some other great songs (The Bottom Line, especially).

^^It's a nonsense, if anyone doesn't like Morse & Co., he doesn't need to click here, let alone to vote.Approve

Effectively the only SB work that I truely love is "SNOW". In general I like more Neil Morse's solo works and with Transatlantic.

Testimony is a bit bloated at times, but I was never a fan of Post-Neal Beard, especially Feel Euphoria.

Testimony. FE is weak overall imo.

i would vote for Testimony but its because the comparison is unfair. Morse was the main writer for SB and Feel Euphoria suffers his absence. Morse knows where he's going in Testimony but the Beard was still trying to find out what they wanted to achieve. If you compare, say X with Lifelines - X would have won my vote. I also like SB's latest album than Momentum. Needless to say, One, ? and Sola Scriptura are the three best outputs from Morse.
And who are we to justify the right in all we do

I have begun to tire of Neal Morse, though I'm sure that's temporary, but I have begun to absolutely love Nick's tenure as lead vocalist in Spock's Beard. That's why Feel Euphoria is my pick, and I was never too fond of Testimony anyways.

Testimony takes 2 hours to say something he could  have stated musically in 1/2 hour. Voted SB.
