Serene lasted from 1978 to 1984 and released one self-titled album in 1979. They might be for somewhere around space rock or heavy area maybe? Not sure. RYM

Symphonic and melodic hard-rock band with techno touches, akin to mid-70's style Birth Control. Drummer Jim McGillivray was in between having left Epitaph and joining Eloy, there are comparisons musically here to both bands. In fact Serene aren't original at all, but do perform a competent brand of progressive rock with wide appeal.

Links to Eloy and Scorpions. A mix of prog and hard rock and I guess the prominence of the Hammond could put it in the Heavy camp. Not really sure I'm getting that much of a prog vibe though.
