Inspired by the previous Floyd poll, only this time, taking into account 3 distinct Floyd periods, roughly corresponding to the 1960s, the 1970s, and the 1980s onward - and including solo releases and live albums as well:

Early Floyd: The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967), A Saucerful of Secrets (1968), More (1969), Ummagumma (1969), Atom Heart Mother (1970), Waters's Music from The Body (1970), Syd's The Madcap Laughs (1970) and Barrett (1970)

Classic Floyd: Meddle (1971), Obscured by Clouds (1972), Live at Pompeii (1972), Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), David Gilmour (1978), Wright's Wet Dream (1978), The Wall (1979), Is There Anybody Out There? (2000)

Latter Floyd: The Final Cut (1983), Gilmour's About Face (1984), Waters's The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking (1984), A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987), Waters's Radio KAOS, Delicate Sound of Thunder (1988), Waters's The Wall Live in Berlin (1990), Waters's Amused to Death (1992), The Division Bell (1994), Pulse (1995), Wright's Broken China (1996), Waters's In the Flesh Live (2000), David Gilmour in Concert (2002), Waters's Ca Ira (2005), Gilmour's On an Island (2006), Remember That Night (2007) and Live in Gdansk (2008).

I voted early.  If they would've packed it in after Atom Heart Mother and Syd's solo albums they would have been one of my favourite cult bands Wink

Other: early + classic. Not on the poll, but I don't care.

Middle
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Vote for the classic era here. The latter era has some good solo output (Amused to Death, On an Island, Remember That Night, Broken China).

All of them are awesome, but the classic era is my favourite.
I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

Please drop me a message with album suggestions.

Why? The early Syd Barrett years have little in common with Meddle and DSOTM, while DSOTM and Animals have little in common with the solo years of Radio KAOS and A Momentary Lapse of Reason.

The classic era is far too popular to be beaten by the other two. On the original poll, the classics were tied down by the mediocre-bad later stuff, so Early had a fair chance

Meddle is my top 1 album but Piper is still able to put me in a world made of gnomes, unicorns and black cats.

Early for me.
Curiosity killed a cat, Schroedinger only half.

Classic Floyd. Something tells me the name alone of that category makes it pretty self explanatory of which 'half' has true greatness. More consistency was in the 2nd for sure. It's a classic!
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣
