Algarnas Tradgard:Delayed(recorded in 1974 but only released in 2001)utterly stoned psychedelic madness.Their first one from1972,entitled Framtiden ar ett svavande skepp,forankrat i forntiden is equally good.This band reminds me of Amon Duul 2 or Ash Ra Tempel at their best.
I was born in the land of Mahavishnu,not so far from Kobaia.I'm looking for the world

I am currently digging:

Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!

I don't know if I've already mentioned Yugoslavian band 'Igra Staklenih Perli'. They fuse Can, Hawkwind and Pink Floyd very well.

I'm a fan of Hypnos 69...can't say they sound a lot like Hawkwind but they are psychy space rock with a retro sound and some other prog styles mixed in and they are very good.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

I've listened to a few AMT albums but found them inaccessible. Haven't heard any AMGG yet, though.

They are Acid Mother Guru Guru because the drummer is Mani Neumeier of Guru Guru. His style is in my opinion unmistakeable, There is definitely something tribal to his drumming.

You are a hundred percent correct. I have been collecting and listening to the artists you've mentioned over 30 years and I agree with you totally. Also....I find the music, the artists, and the time period fascinating.

The Mystical might also want to listen to Tangerine Dream's first LP: It's a completely different thing than the electronic ambient they'd pioneer soon after, instead being a very wild and noisy guitar-based record with lots of drawn-out improv sections plus bizarre twists and turns in the composition. Kinda reminds me of a cross between the Ash Ra Tempel S/T (no coincidence with Schulze on drums) and the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink mentality of Amon Düül II's Phallus Dei.
