What a great post! I went for Dance On A Vocano. Suprised to see that so voted for Entangled. Not the first Trick track that ever comes to my mind but it is great non the less.

I'm not sure what I voted for as I didn't add a comment. Usually its Squonk (there have been other polls)Interesting that Dance On A Volcano is getting more votes than Mad Man Moon. Its hard to beat the knitted together version of DOAV/Los Endos that's on Seconds Out. That's the only 'issue' I have with ATOTT. | Los endos "the end" is definitely on the great Seconds out. It's the best version of the song! I like it better than the studio recording. It's played faster like cinema show!

Definitely Ripples.Man I haven't been to this site in maybe 2 years. This place is still going strong | When you got albums like A Trick Of The Tail created, one can never just flat out stop talking about it...ever. Quality Prog never dies. I'm sure there will be a point where I will have an extended absence on PA, but I shall never leave for good.

It has always been Los Endos for me; great mix of mystery and energy.

Entangled is first closely followed by Dance on a Volcano. Actually, I love the entire album.

Dance on a volcano It's the song that got me into Genesis. It encapsulates everything I love about mid 70's Genesis.

I could never get into this album. The band lost it's grit and every song on the album has this cheesy "smooth" sound to the playing and production. The softer songs, to me, are just really awkward sounding ballads coming from this band. Though, Dance on a Volcano is probably the song closest to being an actual progression from the Gabriel-prog to Collins-era without failure, But even then, it just has this sound to it where it's like every note is a silk pillow.
