Man. This album still does it for me. Anybody else feel that other than Seconds Out, this is Phil Collins's best vocal performance with the band? I do. ;)

ENTANGLED* | My spelling errors...I do this a lot. You know I meant Entangled? I hope.

Been listening to Genesis from the beginning and bought Trick when it came out on vinyl......I always thought Wind was a better LP. ...and Entangled just doesn't do that much for me.

"Dance on a Volcano". While "Entangled" is certainly a beautiful acoustic song and one of my favorites, I think "Dance on a Volcano", and "Squonk" as well, set a tone and sound for post-Gabriel Genesis that proved they could still make astounding music without Pete.

Voted for 'Ripples'.
This is probably my least favourite LP from classic Genesis era. I prefer 'Wind & Wuthering' over it.

Entangled is fabulous!! The combination of the 12 string guitars and mellotron is absolutely haunting and extremely proggy!!

Sure there is! The last couple of minutes are total symph prog awesomeness! That choral mellotron is really in your face!

I was not expecting my favourite to be #1 but so far it is. For me it's all because of the last few minutes, which are a total bliss-out. Second to Entangled would be Squonk. Love the way one leads to the next

I voted for entangled. This is my favorite Genesis album from start to finish. It used to be Selling England but I realized after a while that "battle of epping forest gump" is kind of a mess and "you fooled me" isn't really that great either.

Entangled is my favourite on tott. Whole albums great though definitely in my top 3 genesis. I've always loved squonk too but wish they'd have built on the end bit.

Hmm....I'll have to listen to Mad Man Moon today....imo One For The Vine is also a better track than Moon. |
Guess I should have put IMHO, but I thought that was implied in all of my posts |
Ok...I'll remember that next time....wasn't picking on you btw.
I still think Wind is a better lp than Trick.
|
I rank them pretty close myself but give the nod to Trick...I just can't go with an album that includes "Your Own Special Way" |
That track is sort of lame just like More Fool Me on SEBTP...but Wind has 11th Earl, Blood On The Roof..., and One For the Vine...and imho none of the longer proggy tracks on Tail except for Dance are as good. |
The problem (IMO) with Your Own Special Way is that it’s not only boring, but also way too long. At least More Fool Me is short. Voted Mad Man Moon. A brilliant track.
