Autumn Whispers – Cry of Dereliction Vol.II (AWM002)

Autumn Whispers' second album, "Cry of Dereliction Vol.II" is out!

The album, released through the label Autumn Whispers Music, is the second in the album series "Cry of Dereliction".

The music contains elements from the 70s British music scene, progressive rock, acoustic and classical music. Though, if we were to identify the Autumn Whispers music, we would prefer a descriptive sentence like “Poetic rock with progressive and classical elements based on enigmatic poetry”. The sound is further characterized by tuneful melodies and skilled musicians.

The musicians, who are from Norway, Greece and Malaysia, have a wide range of musical backgrounds: From classical, byzantine and improvisational music, classic, pop and progressive, they offer a solid performance on the album, and they have collaborated with known bands and artists worldwide.

The lyrics are poetic and strongly associated with the musical arrangements, and the band's basic idea and vision. The album series will present selected poems from the world's most recognized poets, as well as their own poems. Poetry brings timeless messages, and is equally applicable today as when they were written.

The album contains eleven tracks:
Fire and Ice
Nostalgia
Auguries of Innocence
A Bird Can’t Fly
Walls
The Puppet’s Monologue
Cry of Dereliction pt.2
I Measure Every Grief I Meet
To a Child Dancing in the Wind
The Jasmin
Autumn

The album was recorded in Elduró studio and Music Art Lab Studios, mixed by Leonidas Petropoulos and Dino Steffens, produced by Dino Steffens and Tirill Mohn. Mastered by Leonidas Petropoulos

Musicians:
Dino Steffens: acoustic guitar, vocals
Liew Ceng Teng: keyboards
Tirill Mohn: violin, vocals

You can now read a wonderful interview with Tirill Mohn, one of the members of Autumn Whispers, where she discusses this band and her solo work
