Very interesting band (never listened) come from Venice (Veneto - Italy) with only one album in 2012. They won the prize "Omaggio a Demetrio Stratos" in 2010, before to produce the album!!!
A four-piece jazz-rock band (but on F.B they say they are 3 members) with some King Crimson's reaches and surely more influenced by RPI, Picchio Dal Pozzo, Canterbury Scene. I like it so much. Sometimes they remember me an Italian rock band CCCP (not a prog band), especially in the spoken parts. The first track is very interesting! Another fantastic song is "Olio Su Tela" . Unfortunately I can't find a link for you to listen it. Biography LITAI: born in February 2008 Composed by homeless musicians, 3 strange guys give life to a young rhythm session States. In their hearts the first prog animated by music of our times. Their debut album is a miracle just like their lives. And rabbits. *(I don't know wath they mean with "and rabbit" at the end. *If you write the name of the band you can read some reviews on other sites *If you want more info: https://www.facebook.com/pages/litai/104118692970158 http://www.youtube.com/user/lllmlllmmmmmmh *(here there are some songs) https://myspace.com/litaiband *(here you can listen 6 of the 8 tracks album) Litai - 2012 1. Vadapianov - 07:14 2. Bagnasco - 08:14 3. Babinia - 06:00 4. Cantico - 06:57 5. Hybris - 06:40 6. Olio su Tela - 06:23 7. Oltraggio - 05:25 8. Kamasutra Gong - 03:56 Total playing time - 50:49 - Francesco "floFRA" Piranio / Guitar, Harp - Michele "mieChele Zavan / Bass, Voice - Stefano "spiritelloSte" Bellan / Drums, Gioccatolophono - Mattia Dalla Pozza / Sax <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0bJg-xJRzM4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bJg-xJRzM4 (Vadapiaonov - One of their best songs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRb212XblL4 (This calls Hybris but it's really "Bagnasco") <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/prH7hrfviGM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prH7hrfviGM (Babinia) I'm sorry how I posted this link (I am not so able to use PC) but I don't know how I can post YouTube link and make them appear as on YouTube. Anyhow I thing a good listening, all 8 tracks. I've proposed them ...Could they Belong to P.A.?? Hope yes... Marco. |

Thank you, Marco!
For some reason (although I might be wrong),I have a feeling the name is familiar, and the Italian Prog team have already looked into them? I'll ask the other members I work alongside and see if they can help fix my memory! Listening to that `Vadapianov' track right now, very impressive stuff! I'm wondering if they might be more at home with the Jazz/Fusion group, but we'll see! Thanks, I and the RPI others will report back! |

Now checked their MySpace ... very heavy Zappie songs.
Anyway their YouTube videoclips remind me something different ... more avantgarde Crimson meets Area-y heavy jazz rock. Fantastic stuffs.
EDIT: Wow, Mike's ninja'd me.

Thanks for the suggestion Marco, and for the feedback Michael. The RPI Team looked at this outfit last year but we voted on a ''move'' to JR/F. The jazzers subsequently rejected the band. Whether another team would want to pick up the suggestion, I don't know.
Edit: Ninja'd! Edited by seventhsojourn - January 05 2014 at 06:54 |

Will post when we've discussed. |

It appears that only four of the myspace tracks are actually from the album (tracks 2, 4, 5, & 6) - the other two on myspace are called 'Martello' and 'Ruina', which seem to come from elsewhere. Here's the band playing live: Excellent review of the s/t debut album on progressor.net: http://www.progressor.net/review/litai_2012.html |

You need to leave out the space after the E in the first [TUBE]. Seventhsoujourn only included the space there in his earlier post to prevent the software from reacting to it as if it were an actual instruction to embed a video.
