Sweet! I love when it rains in Japan (which seems often). I'll see when it's suppose to be on here and see if I would agree with a move up in time.

Suzuka this weekend. Typhoon Phonfane is incoming and due to hit Suzuka on Sunday, at the moment the time table will stay the same but the FIA have made it clear that they will move the start time forward by some hours if it will help them run the full distance, expect it to be a wet race.
We're on for Mercedes domination again this weekend, Hamilton beat Rosberg by 0.2s and then Bottas 3rd 1.2s back, thats a big gap though at least Williams tend to get quicker for qualy and the race.
Also, it seems almost guaranteed that Alonso will leave Ferrari at the end of the year, he's in talks with McLaren for a seat next year.

Not really, the philosophy is going back to the old school, building one car that can be raced all over the world with only minor changes rather than rather than having to cater to several vastly different rule books. The thing that worries me is that the racing is not that great in the DTM at times, but Super GT is brilliant.

^Boy, that does sound strange. But like F1, these sanctioning bodies just can't leave what's good enough alone.

I hope so, either way it'll be close.

this Steve, in 2017 the DTM, IMSA and Super GT series will all run to
the same Class One rules, basically DTM cars with small capacity turbo
engines and 600hp. Super GT already run those cars and DTM will switch
the engines in 17, but I wonder who'll be running cars in the US?

I see Petit being a grueling race with a lot of contact (as usual) so the extended yellows will favor the DPs, but I think race craft and (even penalties) for this enduro will give P2 the day.

Allmendinger actually only missed the cut by 2 points (essentially, 2 spots on track) to Kasey Kahne. But yeah, the guys that should've been cut, were. Oh, and in IndyCar, Penske will be a four car team next year, signing on Simon Pagenaud.

It's getting cool in the NE and that means only one thing. Petit Le Mans is just around the corner and I predict that the DP's will find it a lot more challenging then Sebring or the 6 hr Glen race. I feel the P2's with experience will take this one. GT? I'd like to see Ferrari take it but as long as it's a good race I don't really care. And I expect a good race.

Jeff Gordon won his 4th race of the year today at The Monster Mile, making this his 92nd overall, just 8 away from 100. Kyle Busch had another solid top 10 finish today, as well. The four guys to be eliminated from this round were AJ Allmendinger, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle and Aric Almirola.

I thought this was very interesting. It'll be nice to see the Brabham team back, and with David Brabham in charge no less.

Interesting that both drivers are on 2 mechanical failures in races for the year and the difference is now 3 points. I'm pretty certain Lewis will win this, he's the better of the two drivers.

No way, I think it's going to the end. Still double points for that last one! Anything can happen.

I feel like the championship is over now that Hamilton has the lead. Whereas LH seemed to be in a mental turmoil at the beginning of the season, I feel like Nico is in that state now and Hamilton has the upper hand, at least from a psychological standpoint.
It was a damn shame that Button had his mechanical failure yesterday, too. He was having a great battle with Bottas and Kimi (for 6th, I believe, maybe 7th) when his car just shut down.

Damn had to miss the race sadly.I see Nico had a rough day, starting from Pit Lane and retiring with a "wiring loom" failure. Rough, and this has let Hami retake the points lead. Well, it was inevitable...now this fight is really on!!
Looks like a standard points classification, except for Vergne finishing 6th! Also isn't it crazy to say: Surprised Vettel nabbed a 2nd place finish?! Above Ricciardo to boot.
